A sound, tight, square copy, clean and unmarked inside and out, with crisp, bright text; binding shows very light rubbing at corners, spine ends, and extremities, o/w no notable defects; dust jacket clean and unmarked, with light rubbing, fading at spine, wear at head of spine, crease to front flap, and a small tear at front fold. Autobiographical account of the twelve years the author and her sister spent in a Communist prison on trumped-up charges in a mass arrest of all Rumanian nationals working for the U.S. and British Legations in Bucharest, 1949-1961. 8.25" tall; 227 pages.
