About This Item

Sands & McDougall, for USAAIA 1942 hardcover, 7" x 9¾" [lacking jacket] Spine covering is loose. 'Capt Earl Jacks' written inside front cover. Cover corners dumped. Another's signature on endpaper. Book in fair condition but IS an original publication and is now almost 80 years old. In lieu of the initial classification for arranging and filing correspondence of Military Establishments (1914, 1915, 1917 & Abridged 1917) this book was published for the information and guidance of all concerned. The system is based on the Dewey Decimal System of Library Classification (fully explained in 'Preface'; as is the War Department application of the system in later pages). Classification groups are thumb-tabbed (180 pages), as is the Subject Index (of 250 pages).
