Description:
HBDJ, 1931. Stated First Modern Library Edition COPYRIGHT PG, BK VG- / GOOD- DJ, 1ST in the first issue, 200-title dust jacket. , here is some minor staining. The DJ, which is good only, has about one inch of chipping on the top and bottom of the spine, a small stain the front panel and a vertical chip on the spine. There a few tears elsewhere on the front and back panels. Obviously, this is not that good a DJ, but it is still very rare for a first of this issue, and a celebration of the Russian spirit. Tolstoy's genius is seen clearly in the multitude of characters in this massive chronicle - all of them fully realized and equally memorable. Out of this complex narrative emerges a profound examination of the individual's place in the historical process
