New York: Atheneum, 1967. Edited by Nigel Nicolson, Harold Nicolson's son, these diaries and letters give an uncompromising view of Britain during the years of the Second World War. Not only does Nicholson give his insightful views of key players in the war effort (such as Winston Churchill) but also presents a candid image of his marriage to Vita Sackville-West. This BOMC edition is in close to Fine condition, with minimal wear, and a near-Fine dust jacket, with a tiny tear on the front panel. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. The book is bound in a deep woven blue cloth with die-stamped silver titles on the front panel, and die-stamped gilt titles on the spine. The book measures 6 1/4 by 9 58 inches and includes 511 pages. The book includes photo inserts.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
