About This Item
London: A. & C. Black, Ltd., 1922. Second edition, revised (first was 1906). With thirty-two colour plates by Fred Whitehead. A Very Good or better copy in original blue cloth, top edge blue, gilt lettered on spine, blind lettered and decorated on front board, lacking dustwrapper. Bottom quarter of back board has some old moisture staining but this is quite minor. Otherwise this is an excellent very clean, tight, bright, unworn copy. The front free endpaper bears three previous ownership signatures, the first two are: "Hugh Lyons, Headmaster of Rugby" and "G. Keay, Housemaster of Michell House." Hinges are perfect, spine is square, overall a very nice copy.. Illus. by Fred Whitehead.
