New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1930. First Edition (NAP) . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Bound in light brick and slate-blue cloth with titles and decorations stamped in silver and gilt. Corresponding 1930 dates to the title and copyright pages; no additional printings. Decorated endpapers. The author was born in Norway and later lived in Canada; her themes were rural life in Canada and Minnesota. This copy has light edgewear and rubbing with a faintly sunned spine. The cloth is not split or frayed. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. Hinges solid. A clean, tight copy.
