A first edition of this semi-autobiographical work from Denys Watkins Pitchford, complete with illustrations. First edition. Illustrated with frontispiece, eleven full-page images and many in-text sketches. Collated complete. A collection of semi-autobiographical stories of boyhood adventures and outdoor life, from fishing and shooting to birdwatching and collecting butterflies. Written and illustrated by Denys James Watkins Pitchford, a British naturalist and illustrator, who wrote children's novels under the pseudonym of "B.B." In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart with light wear and chipping to the extremities. Minor loss to the head and tail of the spine with light sunning. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
