Description

London: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1952. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First UK edition first printing 1952, the boards are very clean and sharp, with "Atom" device to upper board. The spine is straight with perfect titling and very sharp ends. The text block edges have light toning with a few very feint spots, slightly more pronounced on the top edge. The pages are crisp and clean, no spots marks or tears. Feels very well bound and lightly read. Near fine condition. The jacket has bold colours to the front panel. There is a loss to the head of the front joint. The spine is toned and has light sunning but still retains some colour. The rear white panel has edge toning, particularly at the top edge, but otherwise very clean and bright. Jacket grades as very good. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very attractive and solid copy of this, classic van Vogt title.
