She brings to her work a varied background in music, psychology, and the graphic arts as well as experience in conflict management. A recipient of the American Planning Association's 1991 Education Award and former Kellogg National Fellow, Sutton is the author of The Urban Network(1989) and Learning Through the Built Environment (1985).
