While basically all the clovers are the same, her extra leaf makes her feel different, and not accepted by the other clovers. Hally Cat explains to Sweetie that, although she is different, she is still a clover and that when she lets the bees feed on her flowers and the woodchucks nibble on her leaves, she is just like the rest of the patch. Not only does the author leave some illustrations to be colored in, but all the even numbered pages are blank, .
