About the author

Robert Jackson is professor emeritus of political science and a former dean at California State University, Chico. He attended the University of Michigan and the University of Oregon. His area of expertise is international education and political culture. Jackson has traveled extensively working on international training contracts and educational exchanges. For thirty years, he edited a book of readings: Annual Editions: Global Issues. He has published numerous journal articles and produced three educational television programs. He resides in northern California where he has been active in a number of non-profit organizations. He is married and his three children and four grandchildren.
