About the author

A former editor at Disney, HarperCollins, and Simon & Schuster, Catherine Daly-Weir has written many books for young readers, including the Disney Fairies chapter book Prilla and the Butterfly Lie, and popular paperback titles such as Knights, Who Are You Really?, All Aboard Cars, and Daddy and Me. She lives in New York.

Tom Leonard has worked as a freelance illustrator for more than 20 years. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts). In the past seven years he has focused his work on children's books, usually with a view toward nature. He lives in Philadelphia and teaches illustration at the University of the Arts. He regularly goes to schools to discuss his work. His illustrations have appeared in the Graphis Annual and several times in the Society of Illustrators.
