Dustjacket. 225pp. A little light wear to extremities, with some minor discoloration of the cloth at edges, boards with a very slight bow, in a clean bright dustjacket. A very good copy. Internally clean. Inscribed by Garrett on the half-title: "For Donald McCaig, with great admiration and gratitude for your good works, George Garrett, 4/10/97" The recipient of this collection of short stories and musings was the late Donald McCaig; writer, poet and sheepdog breeder, who amongs a number of other accomplishments was the author of the Civil War novel "Canaan" [2008], and a Mitchell estate sanctioned sequel to "Gone With the Wind" entitled "Rhett Butler's People.
