About This Item
Rexdale, Ontario, Canada: Macmillan of Canada, 1978. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Very Good. Sharp corners, small stains to bottom page ends and side page ends. Splitting down length of inner gutter at one point - this book is notorious for being badly bound (glued binding, not sewn) by the publisher, so almost all copies have this flaw. Dust jacket show light general scuffing, wrapped in protective mylar jacket. This is Nobel prize winner Alice Munro's fourth book and the winner of the Governor General's Award for Fiction, a collection of 10 stories (published in the U.S. as ""The Beggar Maid."") First Canadian Edition.
