About This Item
London: Ward, Lock & Co Ltd, 1956. Some small tears to the top edge of unclipped dustwrapper, back panel is a bit grubby. Minor shelf wear to bottom edge of black cloth-covered boards, some foxing to endpapers, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover novel. The original title of the book was supposed to be ''Lady in Waiting'', but another novel had been issued with that name so the title was changed. The dustwrapper shows the two titles with one printed as if stroked out. 316pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
