London: Frederick Warne & Co, 1968. 1st Edition. Green Boards. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Burton, Jane . A first edition from the Wayside and Woodland Series in oversize. Gilt embossed lettering and vignette to the front board and spine. Illustrated with 32 coloured illustrations and 54 half - tone illustrations from photographs and numerous text figures. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper not price clipped but has the corner clipped to the front inner flyleaf which also has a light crease the length of the front inner flyleaf. Light shelf wear to the edges of the wrapper. Light soiling to the lower edge of the reverse of the wrapper with a little thinning to the lower edge of the rear inner flyleaf with very very slight paper remains to the lower edge of the rear paste down. A very good copy.
