Copley was the owner of the Copley Newspaper chain, based in San Diego and was an important part of San Diego history. Tipped onto the front free endpaper is a reproduction of a letter written by Neil Morgan, Editor of the San Diego Tribune (part of the Copley chain). The letter notes that this book was a memento povided by the Copley Press, Inc. , for an event held in June 1986 titled The Rendezvous in the Zoo. The book itself provides a fascinating history of the San Diego Zoo and its monthly publication titled ZOONOOZ. ; 9.13 X 6.57 X 1.11 inches; 192 p. .
