DUBLIN: THE TALBOT PRESS, 1950 Grey cloth boards with gilt titles to front board. 220 x 145 mm approx. vi + 42pp. Frontis portrait by J.B.Yeats. This edition of Wild Earth was published by the Talbot press for sale in Ireland and contains collected poems made up of those in his first book Wild Earth published by Macmillan in 1907 and later poems dealing with typical people of the Irish countryside. The copy we offer for sale is warmly inscribed by the author to Macmillan's representative Mary Phillips and dated Jan 1951. VG/VG (Book- a little general shelf wear to bottom edges of boards, paper of book block evenly tanned. Dust Jacket - A little light general shelf soiling with occasional foxing spots. Non price clipped- cover 6/- No other notable defects to book or jacket the later now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve).
