London: William Pickering, 1841. Third Edition . Half Leather - Hardbound. Good/No Dust Jacket. 359 pages, plus 26 hand colored and tissue guarded plates including the vignette title page. Beautifully rebound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in dark green Moroccan leather over spine and corners, and matching green cloth over boards. Raised spine bands and gilt stamped lettering. Top edge of text is gilded. Cloth shows a few small stains, though covers are overall in very lovely condition. Inked name on blank front free end page. Photocopy of a latter portrait and caption of the author is tipped to the second blank leaf following the free end page. Light to moderate foxing throughout the volume, affecting most plates some, and a few more significantly.
