Colonel Sir Hugh Boustead (1895-1980), was a British soldier, Olympic athlete, explorer, and diplomat, whose many varied professions would take him from the trenches of the Somme, to the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp, to the deserts of Sudan as commander of the British Camel Corps. He would also be involved in the campaign to reinstate Haile Selassie as Emperor of Ethiopia, and would later become a diplomat and serve across the Middle East, becoming the British ambassador to Abu Dhabi..
