VIKING, January 1961. Hardcover. Fair - Cash/No Jacket. Blue hardcover with two black rectangles on the spine. Faded silver lettering to the spine. More general surface and edge wear to the cover. The corners have been bumped. The boards are beginning to show in the corners. Discoloration to the spine and edges of the cover. Both hinges are broken. Pages show reader and age wear. Gift inscription inside. Previous owner's name inside. The netting is exposed between pages 310 and 311. Water waving and staining to the bottom of the pages. Pages appear to be secure! Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

Synopsis

The Winter of Our Discontent published in 1961, is John Steinbeck's last novel. The title is a reference to the line "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son [or sun] of York," from William Shakespeare's Richard III.
