About the author

Red Shuttleworth has received three Spur Awards for Poetry from Western Writers of America (for "Johnny Ringo" in 2013, for "Roadside Attractions" in 2011 and for "Western Settings" in 2001). Red was named "Best Living Western Poet" by "True West" magazine in 2007. Red's poems have appeared in hundreds of magazines, including Prairie Schooner, South Dakota Review, Southwest Review, and Weber: The American West. Red's poetry has also been collected in over a hundred chapbooks. Red's latest poetry book, "Ghosts & Birthdays" appeared in early 2013 from Humanitas Media Publishing. Red's plays have been presented widely: Foothill Theatre (CA), State University of New York - Fredonia, Sundance Playwrights Lab, and Sun Valley Festival of New Western Drama.
