The Wolf Hall Trilogy comprising Vol.1 : 'Wolf Hall' published in 2009, 'Bring Up The Bodies' published in 2012 and 'The Mirror And The The Light' published in 2020. All three books are the First UK printings published by Fourth Estate, London and are free from inscriptions. Vol. 1, 'Wolf Hall' is in near Fine condition and appears unread. A hint of pushing at the upper spine tip. Light toning with a little spotting to the upper text-block. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with just very slight creasing at the extreme tips and a tiny little rub to the upper spine fold - barely discernible. Vol.2, 'Bring Up The Bodies' is in near Fine condition and appears unread. Light toning to the text-block. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with just a very light stain to the upper edge on the verso which does NOT show through to the front. Vol.3, 'The Mirror And The The Light' is in Fine condition and is unread. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Fine condition. It is the Waterstones edition with the extra chapter 'Tudor Places' to the rear. All three wrappers are protected in removable Brodart archival covers. All three books have been signed (without dedication) by the author to the title page. 'Wolf Hall' was signed at Oxford in 2017 on the occasion of Hilary Mantel being presented with the '2016 British Academy President s Medal' for outstanding services to the humanities and social sciences. A copy of the ticket for this event accompanies this title as provenance. The 'Mirror And The Light' was signed by the author at what has become her only signing event to promote this book, at Waterstones, Piccadilly on the 4th March 2020, a day before actual publication. The majority of signed copies are ones with a tipped in limitation page signed by Hilary Mantel (With 'Limited Signed Edition' printed at the bottom of the title page) but this book was actually flat-signed by the author at the launch event. A copy of the ticket for this signing/ launch event (admission was strictly limited to 200 tickets) and a flyer for the event accompanies this title as provenance. Accompanied by other related ephemera : ''The World of Wolf Hall - A Reading Guide', 'The Mirror and the Light' Publisher's promotional Bookmark, 'Man Booker Prize 2012 Shortlist' promotional Bookmark featuring 'Bring up the Bodies' and a publisher's Postcard prompting the launch of 'Bring up the Bodies' on 10th May 2012. Mantel won the Man Booker Prize twice for the first two volumes in this series. The third title reached the Man Booker Prize 2020 Long-list. The first two books have been adapted for both the TV and the Theatre to high acclaim. A very collectible and increasingly elusive set with such attributes of Mantel's masterly portrayal of Thomas Cromwell. More images available on request. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
