Hawthorne relates the stories of the Greek Myths through the storytelling of his main character, Eunice Bright, a Williams College student who tells the stories to the children of Tanglewood. The author's Tanglewood Tales would follow this title. First published in 1852. This 1895 volume is in excellent shape with bumps to corners and edges of spine and some soiling and rubbing to boards. No internal markings, hinge is very tight.
