About This Item

1829 RARE 1ed Huish Animal Kingdom Illustrated Plates Lion Bears Tigers Monkeys
Robert Huish's 'The Wonders of the Animal Kingdom' is a 19th-century illustrated work on rare and exotic animals. While the contents of the text are desirable, the real draw of this work is the exquisite illustrations. It is quite rare to find this work with all of the illustrations intact, as the plates are often extracted from the binding and sold individually. Note the attention to detail from H. Smith's illustrations.
Published in 1829 London, this first edition work features 63 full-page engravings. An extremely rare and valuable work!
