First Edition thus, published the year before Lord Byron's death. The first four volumes carry the date of 1823, whilst vols V and Vi carry an 1825 imprint. Demy 8vo (8.5 x 5.5 ins); [xiv], (304); [vi], 360; [vi], (348); viii, 372; [vi], 404; viii, [2], (320) pp. Engraved portrait frontispiece of Lord Byron, by C. Warren, from a painting by T. Phillips, R.A. with tissue-guard. Near uniform contemporary full calf, gilt, with gilt title to double red morocco labels in second and third panels out of total of six and divided by raised bands, with floral ornaments in each panel, the design differing slightly on v.VI. The Corsair, Lara, The Siege of Corinth, Parisina, The Prisoner of Chillon, Beppo; vIV.
