Description

New York: Time, Inc, 1970. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9?" - 12" tall. Type: Hard Back Time-Life Library of Art. Large Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition. 9" x 12" tall, 190 pp. Lower edge of spine is a little scuffed and lower corner bumped, else fine. Light brown cloth with dark brown spine and lettering on front, sharp and bright gilt lettering on spine. Endpapers with sketches in black and white chalk on gray-blue paper, done by Copley as preparatory sketches for his vivid battle scene The Death of Major Peirson. A beautiful book of Copley's life and work.
