Pp. 240; 200+ color illustrations from paintings by Owen Gromme, some black-and-white photographs, some text-figures from drawings by Owen Gromme, and other illustrations. Bound in handmade Top Grain Cowhide with embossed flying geese on the front cover, spine is lettered in gilt, all page edges in rich gilt, housed in a handmade Top Grain Cowhide slipcase with embossed flying geese on the front cover, obong 4to (13 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches). The Introduction is by Roger Tory Peterson, the Biography of Gromme is by Michael Mentzer, and the commentaries are by Judith Redline Coopey. This is the special limited edition of 950 numbered copies each signed by Owen Gromme on the limitation page bound in handmade Top Grain Cowhide. This copy in labeled 7/75 Publisher’s Proof, on the same limitation page on the line above Gromme’s signature.
