Description

London: MacDonald & Co, 1968. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight and clean. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Single minor bump to head of spine. Text block clean, with lightly toned edges, more so to top edge that has spotting. The FEPs have extremely feint offset toning. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Very well bound and feels lightly read. Near fine condition. The jacket has very bold colours to the spine and panel. The front panel has a 30mm tear with associated creasing and small loss to top edge. The price to the front flap has been crossed through. The spine has a little toning. The rear white panel has grubbiness and brown marking of unknown source. A very good book in a very good jacket. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid example of this very collectible title, Niven's first novel and the first hardback printing. Looks presentable on the shelf in the archival fitted cover.
