Longmans, Green and Co.,. Hardback. Half leather fine binding by Zaehnsdorf. Stamped bound by Zaehnsdorf to recto of front endpaper. First edition. Fantasy novel that is an extension of the Odyssey. Half dark maroon leather with maroon toned marbled papers to boards. Gilt ruled to edges of papers. Raised bands to spine. To the spine, gilt titles and 1890 also in gilt. Very pretty gilt decorations in the compartments. Marbled endpapers. Gilt to top edge. Some scuffing the marbled paper boards. Some foxing to closed page edges and to prelims. Leather is in very good condition tot he spine and joints retaining the colour and with bright gilt. Leather is a little worn to the very tips of the corners. Good+, sound copy . Hardback. 1890.
