Association? copy with bookplate of Henry Dreyfuss, the American industrial design pioneer. This is the first edition of the 1932 book and contains 120 new images not seen in the 1928 edition. Nature's Magic Garden. One of the greatest and most influential photographic books ever published, this being the second photobook in Blossfeldt's pivotal trilogy. The importance was in influencing designers and artists worldwide. 120 black and white plates by rotogravure(?) some claim photogravure. Printed recto. Pages approximately 9 ½ x 12 ½" images approximately 8 ½ " x 11 1/4" Spine missing, corners bumped, plates are clean, no stains. Plate 79 has a tear that has been taped from behind. First edition of this important work reproducing Blossfeldt's photographs of botanical forms.
CONDITION: Very good, split in paper at front hinge, but hinge still quite sound, minimal wear; in fair dust jacket toned at spine with five inch vertical split and loss to head and foot of spine.
