West Warwick, RI: Necronomicon Press, 1988. First Printing. First rejected by Weird Tales editor Farnsworth Wright as being "too poetic and plotless," Smith cut the tale from 8000, down to 6800 words "and bringing out some points more specifically," the story was then accepted. This is the first complete publication of the restored text. Informative introduction by Steve Behrends. Illustrated with one of the author's original illustrations that appeared in WEIRD TALES. 16-page pamphlett in stiff-paper covers. From the Richard M. Jefts collection. A fine copy. N.P. Box 3.
