Description

New York: Maynard, Merrill, & Co, 1899. Hardcover. Near Fine. First edition. Octavo. Decorative blue cloth gilt, with vignettes of four dancing college graduates on lower front cover. Binding is a little evenly faded on spine, else a near fine copy, with the gilt decoration on front cover quite bright. Contains a one-page introduction about the poems in this anthology of Yale verse, noting that they were selected from the files of the Yale Courant, the Yale Literary Magazine, and the Yale Record. Includes poems by William Lyon Phelps, Gouverneur Morris, Sydney Robinson Kennedy, Charles Edmund Merrill, Jr., and others.
