About the author

US-born Teresa Flavin is an author and illustrator who has made a name for herself in the UK with intricate and beautifully crafted mysteries. Teresa's love of the Renaissance, labyrinths, Scottish castles and mystery stories inspired her to pen her first novel. Her books have been shortlisted for a raft of prizes, including the Scottish Children's Book Award.

Richard Watson always wanted to be an illustrator. He says that as a child he was forever drawing and making stories and comics with his brother. He has worked as an illustrator since he left university and likes to use a range of techniques to create his artwork, combining traditional drawing and painting with collage and mixed media.
