This is the hardcover FIRST EDITION from 1962, 8th impression (printing), a hardcover small 4to (6.75" x 9.75") with deep blue cloth-covered boards decorated with a Gorey drawing stamped in black to front cover, lettering in his black script to spine. It is an Ex-Lib copy, with card pocket & the usual stamps in front matter & to outside page edges at top & bottom. Nonetheless, condition is VG: extremely clean & bright, pages creamy white & unmarked, binding strong & straight.
