Signed by Alexander Trocchi on the page facing the title page, warmly inscribed to a distinguished British bookseller in the year of publication, "For Anthony Rota in appreciation of his many acts of friendship. [signed] Alex Trocchi London September 1961." 162 pp. Bound in publisher's maroon cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Slight cocking to spine, else Fine in a bright, unfaded and attractive example of the dust jacket, lightly worn, rubbed back panel, Near Fine. The Scottish novelist's best-known work, which was the basis of a 2003 film starring Ewan Macgregor. The consummate rebel, Trocchi was affiliated with the Beats and the Situationists during his life, much of his work being erotic fiction published under pseudonyms. Uncommon signed.
