The only recorded copy of this work with the publisher's dust jacket still present. President Grover Cleveland to a young Franklin Roosevelt, on his first visit to the White House in 1887: "I'm making a strange wish for you, little man...A wish no one else would be likely to make - I hope you'll never be President of the United States."
