Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1917. Hardcover. First Edition. With frontis and four additional illustrations by Reginald Birch. In full green cloth-covered boards with titling and decorations in silver on cover & spine. Overall, volume is firm and clean, but page 225-226 has been torn out (is present). Some leaves' corners are creased; and with incidental discoloration to cover cloth. With bumped corners and edgewear. --- Henry A. Shute (18561943) was a lawyer and judge who wrote many stories and books. His popular Plupy series appeared in the Saturday Evening Post. ; Small 8vo 7-1/2" - 8" tall; 253 pages .
