About the author

Mike Gaddis is widely known for his twenty-seven-year career as senior editor and columnist at Sporting Classics magazine. From fox terriers to beagles, hounds, pointing breeds, retrievers and spaniels, dogs have been the divining force in a sporting life lived boldly and broadly. He has hunted and fished over much of the world, but at the core of it all remains his abiding love and devotion to pointing dogs and upland birds. He is the author of Jenny Willow, Legend's Legacy, Turning for Home, From a Higher Hill and Duel on Tabernacle Mountain. He lives in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
