Accompanied by the uncorrected proof, issued prior to publication. This novel won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize in 2013. 'Zoo Time' follows novelist Guy Ableman who is in thrall to his vivacious wife, Vanessa. He is also in thrall to her alluring mother, Poppy. Guy is struggling in his writing career, he feels reading is finished. His publisher has committed suicide, and his agent is in hiding. His wife is writing her own novel, of which Guy dreads the consequences of it if she finishes the novel. This novel is about love, of women, literature and laughter. With the uncorrected proof. Written by Howard Jacobson. Jacobson is known for producing comic novels that often revolve around the dilemmas of British Jewish characters. A fine copy of this novel.
