Finland: Mosfilm, 1953. 1st Edition . No Binding. Good. An extremely rare Finnish A2 cinema-used poster for the Soviet-era, 1953 historical movie, Admiral Ushakov. The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in November 1953 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This poster is not a modern reproduction or reprinting and nor is it Video/DVD-related This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in Good condition - fold-line to centre, free from pinholes or adhesive residue marks. There a few tears to the edges, the biggest of which is 1.5 inches long. No loss of paper involved and therefore easily fixable. The left edge in particular has a few small nicks and one proper tear. The poster is a trifle tanned, perhaps. Notwithstanding the former it remains a very attractive poster, beautifully illustrated in colour (artist name visible in the plate or stone).

An unused Finnish A2 lobby poster for the movie Lucy Gallant, starring Jane Wyman & Charlton Heston The film was first screened in Finnish cinemas in 1956. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx, printed by Rotopaino Oy of Helsinki. It is in miraculous shape, Mint condition. Unfolded. No pinholes. No tears, nicks or creases. Bright, clean and vivid.

A vintage, original, Finnish cinema poster for the first screening in Finland (October 1967) of the classic Robert Aldrich film, The Dirty Dozen, starring Lee Marvin. A folded poster in VG condition, approximate size is 24 inches by 16 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: 2-inch tear at the top right edge. Pinholes at corners. Traces of tri-folding and around these are secondary creases. Minor scrapes to the black titles. At the verso there are a couple of ink-splash type stains. One of these shows through (at the letter "L" in "Jaeckel"). Notwithstanding these faults the poster still presents very well and will look superb under glass. A vintage, original, Finnish cinema-foyer POSTER for the first screening in Finland (March 1965) of the celebrated film, Zorba the Greek, starring Anthony Quinn and Alan Bates. A rolled poster (i.e. no folding creases) in Fine condition, approximate size is 23.5 inches by 16 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. With minor signs of use: one very short tear to right edge and similar to bottom edge (neither immediately noticeable). Minor print-soiling to verso where there is also a small pen inscription of film-title and date. Minor handling creases to the corners and some minor dings along the left edge of the poster suggesting that it may have been mounted with clips - there are neither pin-holes nor tape residue marks.
