The Bodley Head, 1935. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Not a 1st edition, but an early edition. The boards are quite edge worn and the spine is sunned, but they remain strong and sturdy. Internally, there are previous owner's signatures and a book exchange stamp marking on the front end page. There is light, sporadic foxing throughout, but there are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete. The binding is secure. JK. This is a Very Good + Copy of this Book in Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt title lettering to spine,in a Very Good + Dust-Jacket,with no chips or tears to the outer extremities of the dust-wrapper.Not price clipped (15s net showing to inner flap) Wrapper design is by Don Higgins.There is some spotting to the front and rear flaps of the d/j and also there is some foxing on the underside of the wrapper but this does not detract from what is a good looking dust-jacket.This copy has NO previous inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine.There is the usual amount of age toning/spotting noted to the page edges.A very decent copy of this uncommon title and the d/j is housed in a cover sleeve.8vo Great novel of Albert Brown Naval Officer in WW1 8vo 192pp Reprint [1966] .
