Raised bands with gilt embellishment to spine, as well as gilt titles to blue and red labels. Speckled edges. Illustrative frontispiece, black and white illustrated plates by George Cruikshank. Some ink transference from plates, warping to boards, wear to edges, some leather chipped to spine and corners. Very good. 'Sketches by Boz' is a collection of short writings by Charles Dickens. These pieces were originally published in newspapers and periodicals between 1833-1836. This one volume edition of these works is a library edition, elegantly bound with decorative marbled boards.
