Large woodcut device of Estienne press on title, woodcut initials. Contemporary limp vellum, recased with new endpapers. Minor worming to spine, small repair to lower spine, ink spine title faded, ink library stamp on lower margin of title and last page, first 16 leaves wormed in upper margin, not affecting type, light browning and occasional light marginal foxing to leaves, but overall a nice clean, fresh copy. "Henri Estienne published this collection of the speeches and exhortations found in the Greek and Roman historians, for the use of politicians, lawyers, and all those who had a need of the art of persuasion.
