Tightly bound with faint thumb-marking throughout. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Mild sunning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Mild water stains and droplets to boards. Book has forward lean. Boards are mildly warped.

Gilt lettering to spine is heavily dulled. Boards are slightly bowed.

The boards are firm, flat and unmarked; spine ends and corners a little bumped. Fairly clean end papers; vertical crease on the front end papers; long dedication on front free end paper. Slightly tanned cut edges. The text block is tight and clean; vertical crease on pages up to 27. Very good minus condition. In fair dust jacket, white ends with central colour photo of Priestley and red titles. The jacket is ragged at edges with small open and closed tears. Price clipped.
