Binding remains firm. Pages and illustrations are lightly tanned throughout. Previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends with splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Pen inscription to rear board. Paper worn away to edges.

The boards were significantly worn with bumps to corners and paper loss to tips and edges.The book has been re - sewn on two tapes, new mull and cloth spine fitted, re -cased in the original boards with new plain end papers and corners firmed up with paste to produce a book which will now give many more years of service and delight. Mild occassional finger soiling to margins remain. No previous owner name or insc.).
