Heavy book may require extra postage unless posted within South Africa. The dust jacket is a little shelf rubbed, with closed tears along the edges. There are minor marks on the inner part of the dust jacket. The boards are in good condition. Internally the pages are immaculately clean and complete. Tightly bound and protect in cellophane. A terrific copy and coupled with the 1951 Appleton-Century Crofts FIRST edition of Motley's 2nd novel We Fished All Night. A gorgeous copy in F+/VG condition. The HB is superclean and tight. The DJ is not price clipped though the flyleaf has two small clips and is mylar wrapped. There is minor wear along the edges and corners with a small missing piece along the top spine end. Very collectible!

Motley wrote this novel in Mexico as a sequel to his 1947 debut Knock on Any Door. Laid into this copy is a presentation card from Columbia Pictures Corporation with the facsimile signature of producer Charles Schnee who had produced the film adaptation of "Knock on Any Door" and was preparing an adaptation of this novel.
