Description:
Jourdanton TX: Privately published, Village Printer, 1970. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Near Fine. 1st printing. Pictorial wraps. 42pp. Illustrated with a couple of simple drawings. Short bibliography. Signed "Best wishes" by Parker. Parker, of Pleasanton, Texas, writes in an honest style about the subject. He relates that western author Jack Thorp was a friend and on one visit to Thorp in Santa Fe, J. Frank Dobie dropped by. Some original material here probably, but the author mainly draw off classic sources such as Dobie, Walter Prescott Webb, and Charlie Russell. Not a particularly scarce book, but a nice one that should be in any cowman or cowwoman's library. Near fine.
