A solid copy of the two-volume edition of the works of Rabelais, edited by Albert Jay Nock and Catherine Rose Wilson. Errata sheet laid in. A tight and square, unmarked set with cracking to front hinges (bindings still sound); plates and adjacent pages have typical foxing (presumably an issue with the original paper stock). Highly recommended.

First edition, thus of this translation and critical edition of Rabelais famed satire, Gargantua, originally published in 1893, this edition was revised and corrected with authors later notes and corrections. This volume was all that was published at the University Press for this printing.
