An outrageous, erotic, comic, satire on sex in the 1960s explored by teens. Author, reputedly "15-year-old Rosalind Erskine", was actually advertising directior and author Roger Erskine Longrigg. Story of Bryant House, an exclusive private girls' school, whose 6th-formers find themselves unable to meet boys or learn about sex. Over at Longcombe school for boys, the equivalent problem was present. exists. The solution is shocking: the girls set up a brodello on campus with a menu of categories and prices. Not suprisingly, book spawned inferior sequels and even a musical. A response to changing mores in America?

Light chipping and clipped price. Decorative cloth: pink and green flowers. The story of a young girl going to an English girls' boarding school. In the dorm, the girls discuss losing their virginity and decide that the best way is to set up a service for the local boys' school across the lake. The subject is treated in a light manner, adapted into a musical with music by John Barr, lyrics by Trevor Peacock.

In the original binding of dark pink textured boards, corners sharp; spine slightly faded, and with a pale edge at the foot, and a pale patch at the head, corresponding to a tear to the jacket. In the protected unclipped red jacket, spine slightly faded, head frayed and with a closed tear. Author's details to rear panel show the back of her head and reveal that she was then at a finishing school. Not a brilliant copy, and not for younger readers: a transgressive romp of overheated intrigues at a girls' school, and involving boys: told in the first person, and with panache! A crisp clean, near fine copy in a slightly rubbed jacket. A rather racy novel about the extra curricular activities at an exclusive girls' boarding-school. An early copy of this story was sent to Cape stable-mate Ian Fleming for a possible review, perhaps due to the fact that his current publication was the most sexually explicit of his spy novels, and a shocking departure from his usual 007 capers. This copy was later part of the comprehensive James Bond collection assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencilled notes and signature within).
